Stop messy UTM links from splitting your reports.
Fieldwork UTM is a Chrome extension that builds your tracking links and fixes naming mistakes before you copy them. Free to use, with a $5 a month plan for teams.
One campaign, four spellings, four rows in your report.
When people tag links by hand, the same source gets typed a different way each time. Analytics tools count every spelling as a separate source, so a campaign's results end up scattered.
- Someone copies an old link and edits the tags by hand.
- One person types "Facebook", another types "fb".
- The report splits, and someone cleans it up in a spreadsheet.
| Source / medium | Sessions |
|---|---|
| facebook / paid-social | 1,284 |
| Facebook / Paid Social | 412 |
| facebook.com / paid_social | 167 |
| fb / cpc | 96 |
| google / cpc | 2,310 |
Mistakes are caught before the link leaves your hands.
Capital letters, spaces, odd characters and shorthand like "fb" are flagged the moment you type them. One click fixes each one, and the copy button stays locked until the link is clean.
Source has a capital letter and a domain ending.
Use "facebook"Medium has capital letters and a space.
Use "paid-social"Campaign has capitals, a space and a "!".
Use "spring-sale"Tag the page you're on without retyping it.
Click the icon or press Alt+Shift+U and the page's address is already filled in. If the link has tags, they load into the form so you can check or change them.
Everyone on your team tags links the same way.
Set lowercase, the separator, the sources and mediums you allow, and fixes for common misspellings. Export the rules as one file and share it with your team.

Tag a whole campaign's links at once.
Paste up to 500 links, set the tags once and export a CSV for your ad platform or email tool. Every row is checked against your rules.

Before you install
What is a UTM link?
It's a normal web link with tags added to the end, such as utm_source=facebook. Analytics tools like Google Analytics read those tags to show which campaign, site or email sent each visitor.
Does Fieldwork see my links or browsing?
No. Everything you create is stored in your browser. The extension reads the current page's address only when you open it, never the page itself. Details are in the privacy policy.
Does it only work with Google Analytics?
No. The checks are tuned to how Google Analytics groups traffic, but UTM tags are a standard. The links work with HubSpot, Adobe Analytics, Mixpanel and most ad and email tools.
Can my team share one Pro plan?
Each person needs their own Pro plan. Rules and presets export as one file, so the whole team can use the same naming convention.
How do I cancel?
Open the extension's Settings and choose Manage subscription, or email support@fieldworkgtm.com. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
Tag your next campaign link with it.
Free, no account, and it works on any page you open in Chrome.
